My latest work involves a more direct and intimate relationship with the clay than previous work, and for the first time in my ceramic career explores both the vessel and glaze.

Drawing inspiration from the contrasting influences of contemporary architecture and natural landscape, my work is shaped by a deep respect of the fundamental principles of Japanese aesthetics; hopefully bold and visually rich, whilst simultaneously conveying feelings of simplicity, solitude and quietness.

All work is glazed with a variety of copper and iron bearing glazes, fired to Cone 9 / 10 in an oxidixing atmosphere.
